Meet Your Guiders: Katie


Here are Katie's responses to our mini survey!

1. What is your favourite Girl Guide cookie?  Mint!
2. What is your favourite Girl Guide song?  Barges
3. Have you been to a Girl Guide camp outside of Ontario?  Where and when?  Does our Cabana count? If not, then no, I've only been to camps in Ontario.
4. How old were you when you started Guiding? What level was it?  I started in girl guides when I was 10
5. What is your favourite memory of something you learned at Girl Guides?  Learning how to build a good campfire is my favourite and one of my most useful memories!
6. What food have you had at camp that you hope you'll never ever ever eat
again!?  A raw potato
7. What is your favourite colour?  Purple
8. Do you have a pet? What is it and it's name?  I do! She's a gray cat and her name is Mitsy.
9. What one place have you travelled to that you'd like to return to?  Costa Rica
10. Where would you like to travel to that you've never been?  Peru!
11. What is your favourite cartoon?  I've sadly never watched many cartoons
12. What is your favourite beverage at Timmie's?  Iced coffee in the summer, French Vanilla in the winter!

3.  Have you been to a Girl Guide camp outside of Ontario?  Where and when?  yes - CM'99 in Manitoba, 1999
4.  How old were you when you started Guiding? What level was it?  6-ish?!? Brownies
5.  What is your favourite memory of something you learned at Girl Guides?
You should always tuck your groundsheet underneath your tent rather than having it stick out from under the tent - my mom taught me that at Brownie camp when we woke up because we were floating in a puddle in the tent
6.   What food have you had at camp that you hope you’ll never ever ever eat again!?  Marmite - gross - part of a survivor challenge
7.   What is your favourite colour?  blue, pink or purple
8.  Do you have a pet? What is it and it’s name?  Cat - Inky
9.   What one place have you travelled to that you’d like to return to?  London, England - Pax Lodge
10.  Where would you like to travel to that you’ve never been?  Switzerland - Our Chalet
11.   What is your favourite cartoon?  My Pet Monster - wish it was still on TV!
12.   What is your favourite beverage at Timmie’s?  Cafe Mocha (Large if you're going to bring me one!)
